Tricks for
saving on dialling time
The Text & Talk service is very quick and hassle free. There’s even a
simple trick that you can use to make the dialling process completely seamless.
All you need to do is edit your international numbers to include the access
number at the beginning, followed by a pause. This can be done easily depending
on the brand of your mobile:
How to find
pause in your mobile
- Type the 0208 access number on your handset
- Enter a "pause" (as explained below)
- Type the full international number you wish to call, e.g. 001**** for the
US
- Save the number to your phone book
The following is
a list of known "pauses":
Nokia Phones:
A 'p' will appear after * has been pressed 3 times.
Siemens/Panasonic Phones:
A '+' will appear after 0 has been pressed and held.
Motorola / Ericsson Phones / Sony:
A 'p' will appear after * has been pressed and held.
SonyEricsson mobile phone (model T610):
A 'p' will appear after the 7 key has been pressed and held.
NEC e616:
A 'p' will appear after # has been pressed and held.

You must have a UK mobile and have the bill payer’s permission. This is a
reverse-billed text service, cost of text to 80556 will be charged at 5 pounds plus
your standard network text charge. A confirmation text informing you that your
mobile has been charged 5 pounds will be sent shortly thereafter. Calls will
disconnect once the credit is finished and a new text request with keyword to
80556 will have to be made for a further top up. Credit lasts for 90 days from
day of first use. Cost of calls to the 0208 access number will be charged at
your standard mobile rate to a landline or can be used as part of your mobile
inclusive minutes. Calls charged per second. Prices are subject to changed
